Took the boy to the beach on July 4th, and we built a sand castle. Current motif is very “King Kong” it seems. Overall this took a little more than an hour to complete. Minute for minute, there is no better way to engage a 2 year old on a beach.

Massimo collected the sticks and stones, I provided the digging and the knot tie-ing. And some of the design. The inspiration was from Mother Nature and the beach itself.
After it was done, a woman walked by and stopped to admire it. She was a schoolteacher, and she asked, “Are you an engineer?”
And I said, “Kind of, but not really.”
Then she asked, “Are you an artist?”
And I replied, “Kind of…more a musician.”
